It has taken me a week or so to digest that I am going to be competing in the Crossfit Games. After sectionals my goal was top 10 at regionals. I got more than I wanted, and truthfully more than I thought I was capable of.
I knew that if I was going to place in the top 10 the workouts had to be jen-style. I was hoping for a 5k run, something with MU and HSPU, and a heavy lift like deadlift or clean. I had to be able to complete all movements and do it fast. Well, I sort of got what I wanted. However my biggest weakness was brought forth and I had to deal with it. After the heavy snatch and OHS a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I was ready for the other 3 workouts.
Weighted Cindy was fun...when it was over. The third workout with a sandbag was more fun that I thought. It all came down to the last workout with the gymnastic movements. I was sitting in 15th before the workout, so I knew I had to move FAST. It went really well...the MU went faster than I thought and at the end I had the second fastest time out of all the ladies!
FIve minutes later Jessica and I realized that there were only 6 girls that finished that workout, and we were 2 of them. Then came the results....we were going to the games. I got third, Jess got 4th. That was what we were hoping for all along. I am so lucky to have such talented and beastly crossfit ladies to workout with. Alex, Jessica, Megan, Lisa, and Crystal have been my rock and so glad to have then around to suffer with!
As for the Crossfit Games...let's just finish it. My goal would be top 25.
